Paul McNeil
Paul joined 37 South in January 2010 as a yacht broker and is currently carrying out this role, plus superyacht agency work and assisting with superyacht project management in refits.
Paul spent the prior three years as a yacht broker based at Westhaven Auckland, selling a wide range of yachts and cruiser motor boats both new and used.
In 2002, Paul established a boat storage facility in south east Auckland to cater mainly for trailerable boats up to eight metres in length. Boatminders could store up to 85 boats undercover and 30 boats outside in completely secure conditions.
In addition to storage, this business offered the total service to a boat owner and included delivery and pick up from the water, cleaning, maintenance and service work. Boatminders stored all of the Americas Cup 2003 patrol boats as they were built, and regularly stored superyacht tenders for superyachts undergoing refit.
Past work experience for Paul includes sales, marketing and export management for Marten Marine Industries, who up until 1987 had built over 500 production yachts of various sizes, prior to building the plastic fantastics for the Americas Cup.
Paul is a passionate boater having sailed small yachts from an early age. He has built 2 yachts and an 8m powerboat in his spare time as well as refurbishing 3 10m plus power boats.
Paul is married with an adult family.
